The River of Life

While being still in His presence I saw a glimpse of a water fall. It sounded like a loud roar, then I saw water gushing down a brook. As the water drew closer it formed into a river. As the flowing water passed the trees beside it, they began to rise, popping out of the ground, springing forth with the most beautiful green leaves. Such a peace flowing from the waters. The sound of heaven filled the place as we were still in His presence, just soaking in Him.

I was lead to read Psalms 42:7, “Deep calls to deep in the roar of your water falls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.”

I knew I had to do some research. I read several scriptures, but this one spoke to my spirit...and now I want to share it with all of you.

Revelation 22:1-6

"The River of Life"

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. The angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show His servants the things that must soon take place.

One of my favorite scriptures on this subject is Isaiah 44:3-5

'For I will pour out water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants;
And they will spring up among the grass Like poplars by streams of water.'
"This one will say, 'I am the Lord's'; And that one will call on the name of Jacob; And another will write on his hand, 'Belonging to the Lord,' And will name Israel's name with honor.

Poplars are fast growing trees which symbolize the rapid spiritual growth that the Spirit releases during times of awakening and revival.

I believe this vision reveals the plan of God for our region as He pours out His Spirit on us and our children!
